Location

Gatlinburg – “The Heart of the Smokies” is located in eastern Tennessee and the home city of the Smoky Mountains.  Little Wing is only 5.5 miles outside of town.  Here are some directions to get you easily to Gatlinburg.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

From Virginia:

From I-81 South take I-40 East to Exit 435 (Newport) and follow Hwy 321 South to Gatlinburg.  Gatlinburg is approximately 45 minutes from the Interstate.

From Lexington:

Take I-75 South to I-640 East at Knoxville, then I-40 East to Exit 435 (Newport) and follow Hwy 321 South to Gatlinburg. You will be approximately 45 minutes from Gatlinburg after leaving the Interstate.

From Chattanooga:

Take Exit 81 on I-75 North and following Hwy 321 North through Maryville and Townsend and Hwy 73 to Gatlinburg.  Around 70 minutes from the Interstate to Gatlinburg.

From Nashville:

From I-40 take I-75 South to Exit 81 on I-75 North and follow Hwy 321 North through Maryville and Townsend and Hwy 73 to Gatlinburg. It is about 70 minutes from the Interstate.

From Asheville:

Take I-40 West to Exit 443 and follow Foothills Parkway to Hwy 321 South to Gatlinburg.  About 45 minutes from the Interstate to Gatlinburg.

From Atlanta:

Take I-85 North to I-985 North to US 23.  Take US 23 to Hwy 23/441 to Hwy 74/441 through Cherokee, NC to Gatlinburg.  It’s a little over 4 hours to Gatlinburg.

FLYING

The closest airport would be Tyson McGhee Airport just outside of Knoxville.  Tyson McGhee is about 1 hour from the cabin.

OR… Hartsfield-Jackson – Atlanta International Airport is only a little over 4 hours from Gatlinburg.  Sometimes flights are cheaper going into Atlanta, especially international flights.
